i honestly think that certain eras (like the 50’s) are really great for curvier gals! just think of joan on mad men! but if you’re having a hard time finding real vintage in your size, there are a lot of really cool vintage repro designers that offer extended sizes like stop staring!, bettie page, and pinup couture, to name a few. they have kinda silly marketing, but once you get past that, you’ll see that they have some really awesome styles. also, modcloth (full disclosure: i work there) has a really good selection of vintage-inspired dresses in additional sizes here.
