i am one of those nerds who just can’t reblog a photo unless i know the original source. this can be super frustrating on sites like tumblr and pinterest because so many photos just float around uncredited.
but! i recently discovered a solution that has helped me find to find the sources of images 90% of the time. it’s the search by image google chrome extension. once you download it, you can right-click any image to search it on google. from there, you can find all of the places it’s been posted on the web, which almost always turns up the original source. sometimes you have to do a bit of sleuthing, but it’s totally worth it because you often find the rest of the images in the series, higher resolution versions of the image, and visually similar images along the way.
